THE SUBTROPIC is an independent, eco-streetwear label founded in September 2020, based in London.

 

OUR CULTURE?

THE SUBCULTURE expresses the need for organic, made-on demand apparel to support the sustainability of our natural environment, whilst also encompassing the raw aesthetic styles of human culture.

 

OUR AIM?

THE SUBAIM was to craft unique, long-lasting streetwear apparel. In essence, top quality, eco-friendly embroidered & DTG garments to slow down the overproduction in the fashion industry & promote eco-projects across the world.

 

WHERE ARE YOUR ROOTS FROM?

THE SUBROOTS stem from the founder's desire to implant vibrant, natural & raw imagery into our apparel from around the world in a bid to promote positivity, tranquillity & imagination.

 

WHY THIS LIZARD?

THE SUBTROPIC logo originates from the Oriental Garden Lizard (original shot just above), also known as the “Changeable Lizard”, which is naturally found in open jungle and shrubland in Indo-Malaya, but has adapted tremendously well to urban environments.

Subsequently, THE SUBTROPIC believe these characteristics embellish our core values of conscious sustainability (Purple), smooth adaptability (Blue) & mystical exploration (Black) in an ever-changing world.
